You all heard them talking a lot about Pinterest lately and how important it is to your blog or business. I do agree with each and everyone saying that you need a Pinterest, and you gotta put some work in it. Come on, it’s a second most popular tool that any of us would use for researching something. And actually this tool is number 1 when it comes to visuals as it’s all about that! So today I’d like to talk more about the good Pinterest image that drives clicks and is most shareable, as that kind of image can break a sale, increase traffic to your website or simply gain you more followers. Simply put – they are a huge part of your branding. And about that I have talked before. So as any other branding part – the social media is also very important. There you also get a chance to represent your brand in the very best way that you can! By this I mean – your social media outlets gotta reflect your branding, and not only through the communication and all the visuals. Here you also have those things called profile pictures and covers, and these are the ones you should start with. (more…)
According to the Institute for Color Research, the average person makes a subconscious judgment about a product, person or the environment within 90 seconds. More than 2/3 of that judgment is based on color which is a huge part of the design, and that is all about the first impressions. So these choices are very much important, and probably one of the first that you have to make once you start blog, product or branding design. I also ask my clients what colors represent them and their brands the best at the very beginning of a design questionnaire, so from my own experience I have learnt, that this task can be real hard sometimes. There’s a philosophy behind each color, and it’s not only about your favorite colors. Of course these things matter cause you gotta like the color you put to represent you and your brand. But you also have to be aware of what exactly this color means and if it actually passes the right message and attracts your ideal audience! In this post I’ll help you to choose the right color palette & show you some quick and easy ways to do that! So ya better click through for more :) (more…)
Not a while ago I’ve talked about the Key Benefits of Using Photos to Promote your Business and Blog, and today I’d like to focus on blogs mainly, and why you should think about the custom styled stock images and start using those! (more…)
We’ve all heard a word Branding, and we all are aware of that. I kinda get confused when people mention it, cause what exactly they mean is just a web design, or a logo. Branding isn’t just a simple logo, or a website for a huge company. It isn’t only for huge companies either. It’s for your blog, your business, and it’s that complete visual identity, professional and cohesive overall feed and feeling. Your brand is how people feel when they think of you, when they see your images while scrolling social media or visiting your website. Is it important? Hell ya! And very important indeed! In this post I’m going to share all the reasons why. (more…)
Last week I’ve shared some key benefits of using photography to promote your blog or business, which also is a big and important part for your blog. My not so little experience has showed me that if not the photography, I wouldn’t get as much interest and attention as I do get now. I will be talking more about that later on this blog (*PSSST. I will soon also be sharing some photography editing tutorials & so), but today I’d like to talk about another very important bit and that, m’friends, is a Blog Design! Yeah, you heard me right.
So my huge love for the brand and blog design has really grown to that point, where I’d like to do & talk more about it. I’ve been working with some pretty big bloggers and companies on their branding, and web/blog design for the past year, been learning a lot and spending lots of time doing research.(Thinking about a rebrand or new design for your blog? Check out my services!) Thus till the very this day I still, sometimes, come across a blog or two which are great, or being honest – would be, but their visual identity and online presence is really poor. Yes, what matters the most is the content, and that is probably the only thing you’d always come back for, but the visual also matters, it’s actually the first thing you notice, and that is very much about the blog’s design. So in this post I will be talking why the heck that blog design is so important, and what makes a good one! :) (more…)
Seeing everyone putting their fingers on media kits makes me very happy. I’ve made the first one for myself and my own blog years ago, thus comparing to all that has changed – it was far away from the good media kit. To realize, that I need one, helped the first ever brand that contacted me for blog collaboration, as their email begun with the media kit and that looked more than just professional. I straight away knew that things are getting serious and that I’m contacted by a company which is also taking me seriously and showing the respect! That is as much as complimenting and flattering, as challenging also! But today I’m going to share all the secrets of what makes a killer media kit and why you need one! + a free media kit template. You just gotta stick for more! (more…)
